Welcome!
Research in this exploratory NIH-funded center for wound healing research is focused on the in vivo application of combinatorial and directed molecular evolution technologies to transform potential biotherapeutics (peptides, growth factors, gene therapeutics and in the future stem cells) into therapeutically useful agents. We mine complex and diverse libraries of peptides, proteins, and/or antibodies using in vivo models of wound repair to first identify, create and then evolve novel biotherapeutics that will be genetically optimized for use in the repair of wound injury.
